The Holy Bible Header

In General Terms:

Each of the Books of the Bible were written by men and hints of individual personalities are recognizable. The men who wrote the Bible were chosen by God to write Scripture and they were common men — fishermen, tax collectors, doctors, tent makers, sheep herders, kings and servants of kings— men from many walks of life. Each viewed life differently, from a human perspective, but when they wrote, the Holy Spirit of God inspired them to do so. In their writings it is the Spirit of God that lead them to put to paper that which they either personally witnessed, that which someone else, lead by the same Spirit, experienced or visons and dreams regarding things that have, later, been fulfilled as prophecy. He did not tell them HOW to write, only WHAT to write. I firmly believe that the Bible, in all its translations can lead a person to Christ, albeit errantly. However, the Spirit of God, has and will continue to win people to Himself, by the power of His Holy SPirit, in spiete of the fact that many translations of Scripture have been purposely altered and/or mistranslated. I prefer the King James Versions for numerous reasons, but this is a preference, not a conviction. I have 23 diverent translations of Scripture and find each of them edifying.
